The rollout reflects the Government’s infrastructure-first approach to digital transformation, in line with Politburo’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW, which identifies digital infrastructure as a foundation for developing a digital economy, digital society and digital government.
Since 2024, Viettel has migrated nearly 10 million 2G users, provided more than 800,000 free 4G devices to low-income subscribers, and expanded 4G/5G coverage to 98 per cent of the population.
